Why should I add lights to my 1/48th or 1/24th scale dolls house?
Adding lighting to smaller scale dolls houses in 1/48th and 1/24th scales both adds realism to your model but also lights up all the intricate details you have painstakingly created allowing everyone to see your wonderful creations.
I don't know anything about lighting. Is it difficult? Our kits make lighting your model as easy as possible. No soldering is required and the kits are plug and play so all you need to do is install the lights and hide the battery box. Some kits also come with bases so the battery box and any extra wiring can be hidden away underneath.
I have a Petite Properties 360 degree kit. How do I hide the wiring? It is still relatively easy to hide the wiring on a 360 degree model if you conceal it under the exterior finish. This can be done by using 3M Magic Tape which is tape you can write on and is extremely thin so when applied over the wire and then smoothed into the surface becomes almost imvisitble. Paint or an exterior finish can be applied over the top. Other methods include using foliage or hiding the wireing down the side of a chimney brest or other feature.
